Description

Organic Adzuki Beans (known as red mung beans) great source of protein and so, they are great in stews and curries instead of meat.  If you enjoy sprouting then these are very rewarding little sprouts which grow easily and quickly for salads and garnishes.

Organic Adzuki beans only require 1-2 hours of soaking before they are ready to cook which makes them more convenient than other bean varieties which need 8-12 hours of soaking.

They are known to be the most ‘yang’ or warming of the bean family in Asian cultures.  In East Asian cuisine adzuki beans are often sweetened and blended into red bean paste for use in desserts.

These tasty beans are high in Folate and a source of Phosphorus, Potassium, Copper and Manganese (per 70g serving)

Their dark red colour signifies their antioxidant status and they are rich in flavanoids.  Adzuki beans are also high in protein, fibre, folate and manganese.
