“We look after our bees, and only take surplus honey that the bees will not need through the winter. We don’t take all the honey and then feed the bees sugar syrup, to ensure that all you will have in your jar, is pure honey”.

Honey granulation

All Pure Honey will granulate or thicken. In fact this change is the best proof of its quality. It can easily be restored to the liquid state by loosening the top and standing the jar in hot water. Heat very gently until the honey becomes liquid, up to no more than 40 degrees. You can also microwave it, but if heated too much some of the natural goodness will be lost. Commercial honey is often pasteurised, and fine filtered that removes the pollen, and destroys some of the beneficial natural enzymes. Pasteurising and fine filtering helps prevent honey from granulation.

Honey is unsuitable for infants under 12 months.
