You will find no single use plastic in the Wholesome Weigh. Everything in the shop is either loose or free from unnecessary packaging. Bring your own containers to fill or buy from our range of quality refillable containers and cotton bags. And there are also free brown paper bags on hand in case you’ve forgotten your containers or received some last minuet inspiration! We are always ready to help you with your refills. You can buy as little or as much as you like.

We offer discounts on bulk purchases. We believe that ‘little and good’ is an excellent philosophy for well-being! So we do not charge extra for small purchases. So you can be as adventurous as you like without spending a fortune.

Modern life is Hectic. The Wholesome Weigh is a place to slow down and savour your choices. The shop is designed to please all of the senses and nourish the soul. You can taste, smell and sample the products and find out about the makers.

Aimee, the owner, is a qualified naturopath so you can access healthy living/eating advice in store.

For the really curious we offer ‘experience evenings’ where producers take you behind the scenes into their specialist passions.

We recognise that despite their best efforts some people remain short of time, so you can always pop in and leave a shopping list with containers for us to fill up for you to collect later.

And you can also pre order your shop online and choose a time for collection in store!

The latest addition to our team – our Cargo Bike is enjoying it’s new life on the streets of Hitchin offering local deliveries!

For all those who can’t make a regular visit to the shop, we are now offering a delivery service via our Cargo Bike!

Delivery is free with a minimum £10 order. Just place your order through our online shop and we’ll allocate you a delivery slot. This service is available for Hitchin only but will be soon also available for customers in Stevenage.
