Bulgar wheat is a staple in middle eastern cuisine. High in protein and fibre and made from the berries of the wheat plant. Use it as a side, a replacement for rice, or in salads.
To cook:
Add 2 parts bulgur to 1 part water into a pan,
Bring water to a boil
then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, until tender.
Drain excess liquid.
